Dear Students and Stakeholders,
First of all, we would like to express our pleasure in
welcoming you to Dursunbey Vocational School and wish you a successful academic
education and training life. Our mission is to graduate individuals who have
national and international goals; possess knowledge, professional competence,
ethical and moral values; are entrepreneurial and innovative; focus on lifelong
learning; and can effectively use new technologies. In line with this mission,
our aim is to be an educational institution that contributes to society and the
future by considering the sustainability of resources, values cooperation with
the business world, and enables our students to discover their potential.
Through our practice-oriented programs, strong
industry collaborations, and our approach of integrating new technologies
required by the era into our educational processes, we attach great importance
to increasing the employability of our students after graduation. At the same
time, we consider it our primary duty to educate individuals who are aware of
lifelong learning, observe the sustainability of resources, and are conscious
of their responsibilities towards society.
Our Vocational School continues to provide an
educational environment that supports our students in discovering their
potential and prepares them for the future in terms of professional and
personal development. In this regard, together with our academic and
administrative staff, we continue our work with determination through a
quality-oriented, innovative, and student-centered approach.
In today’s world, where global competition and
technological developments are rapidly increasing, the need for qualified
technical staff is increasing day by day. In this process of change and
transformation, our vision is to be an academic-focused, innovative educational
institution that prioritizes sustainable education and research, produces
knowledge and value in science, culture, art, and sports, and is open to
national and international competition. With this vision, our Vocational School
has a strong commitment to educating graduates who can adapt to rapid changes
in the business world and continuously improve themselves. All our programs are
supported by a strong and qualified academic staff who are experts in their
fields.
At our Vocational School, the 3+1 “Workplace
Vocational Training” model is implemented in the Construction, Green and
Ecological Building Technician, and Occupational Health and Safety programs.
Thanks to this model, our students spend the final semester of their education
in the business world, enabling them to transform theoretical knowledge into
practice and gain work experience before graduation.
In order to provide a stronger academic infrastructure
for our students, our Forestry and Forest Products program applied to the MEDEK
Accreditation Institution in 2026 and entered the accreditation process. Our
Construction, Green and Ecological Building Technician, and Occupational Health
and Safety programs will be included in the same process next year. This
process will certify that our programs meet nationally and internationally
recognized quality standards and will further increase the value of your
diploma upon graduation.
With our strong infrastructure and sector-integrated
education plans, our students remain in constant contact with industry and the
business world through seminars with sector representatives, technical visits
organized by our Vocational School, and participation opportunities in fairs
organized by our University and other universities or institutions. Thus, they
have the opportunity to learn not only in the classroom but also in the field,
gaining real work experience before graduation and graduating as individuals
with the qualifications sought by the business world.
Beyond being equipped with professional and technical
knowledge through the education you receive at our Vocational School, we aim to
raise individuals who have strong problem-solving skills, are prone to
teamwork, use technology effectively, have strong communication skills, possess
ethical and environmental awareness, add value to society, contribute to their
country and the world, and adopt lifelong learning as a principle. As Dursunbey
Vocational School, we attach importance to raising our students as individuals
who respect academic originality, entrepreneurship, innovation, merit and
competence; are open to sustainable development; are committed to
constitutional principles and the rule of law; are open to universal values;
and are devoted to ethical and moral values.
In line with the words of the founder of our Republic,
Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, “The truest guide in life is science,” we will
continue our journey by taking science and technology as our guide and will
build a strong future together by learning, producing, and improving. You are
the most valuable future of this school and this country. We believe that with
the education you receive and the experience you gain here, you will make great
contributions both to your own lives and to the development of our country.
