History
Dursunbey Vocational School began its operations in the 1994-1995 academic year with 53 students in the former fire station, allocated by the Dursunbey Municipality, in accordance with the decision taken by the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education on February 14, 1994.
Due to the building's inadequacy and unsuitability, Dursunbey Vocational School moved to a 4,050 m² building in the Saz area, owned by the Dursunbey District Governorate's Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, on June 1, 1996. On September 15, 2006, the school moved to its own building, located in the Hıdırlık Meki, a 45,000 m² site allocated to our school by the Dursunbey District Governorate.
Our school employs 260 students in four programs, 14 academic staff, 5 administrative staff, 4 private security guards, and 3 cleaning staff.
On September 15, 2006, the Dursunbey District Governor's Office allocated a 45,000 m² site in the Hıdırlık area for our vocational school, and our vocational school moved into its own building.
The physical facilities include 12 classrooms, 3 laboratories, 7 workshops, a 200 m² dining hall, a 300 m² conference hall, and a 300 m² canteen.
For student accommodation, there are KYK girls' and boys' dormitories in our district.
There is also an outdoor sports complex on the vocational school grounds, featuring basketball, volleyball, football, and tennis courts.
